There was plenty of action for me to photograph at the Dynamos Junior Soccer carnival held at Forrest Park in Bunbury last Saturday the 6th of September. But unfortunately I didn't manage to get photos of every team that was playing. That is because I am a bit of a wuss and don't like to stand out in the rain with my camera when it is bucketing down!! The same can't be said for the kids though - they absolutely loved playing in the wet :-)
I was intending to make sure I photographed all teams that competed in the carnival last weekend, but unfortunately due to the rain (and to me being a wuss who does't like to get wet!) I didn't get to a game for every team. There were so many games going on at once! It must be a huge job to coordinate the event so congratulations to the Dynamos club on a wonderful carnival.
Despite my best intentions of keeping dry I did end up absolutely saturated and had to wear wet clothes for the rest of the day. (I'm just hoping that the moisture didn't affect my Canon 28-300mm lens. It's my favourite lens for photographing kids and sports because it has a good zoom.)
You can see more of the photographs from the soccer carnival in the gallery Bunbury Dynamos Junior Soccer Carnival 2014.
I think I am becoming a bit of a sports photographer! And I'll have more sporting action to photograph at the local kids' athletics carnival on Friday...
